“Comfy fiction” is what I call my version of a “cozy” fiction book. This term took off with the “cozy mystery” genre, but seems to be expanding from there. I see that PBS is now using the label “cozy drama” to describe some of their television shows. But for me, some of these shows, and some of the cozy mystery books, are just a little too saccharine for my tastes. Maybe for you too? I prefer a little more true-to-life realism.
